Jena is a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) specializing in pediatric care, with a profound commitment to supporting children in achieving their communication and feeding goals. Jena received her Bachelor’s degree from Delta State University and Master’s degree from Jackson State University in Speech Language Pathology. With a focus on the pediatric population, Jena has successfully worked with children of various ages and developmental stages, addressing a wide range of speech and language disorders. Her experience includes working with children who have articulation disorders, language delays, hearing disorders, evaluation and implementation of AAC devices, oral motor/sensory delays, tethered oral tissue, swallowing disorders, feeding, and more complex developmental challenges. Jena loves using playful, engaging techniques to make therapy both effective and enjoyable for young clients. Jena has been a member of our team since 2017. Outside of her professional life, Jena enjoys spending time with her family and friends outdoors, fly fishing, hiking, biking, traveling, and trying new foods and restaurants which enriches her approach to therapy and enhances her connection with the children she serves. Jena is excited to contribute her skills and passion to DFCPTC and is committed to helping each child reach their full potential.
