Maddie Jones,
LMSW
Maddie is a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) in Mississippi, and she graduated with her Master of Social Work from The University of Memphis in the spring of 2024, where she also achieved a Graduate Certification in Clinical Social Work. She completed her Bachelor of Social Work at the University of Mississippi in the spring of 2023. Her journey in the field of social work has been deeply enriched by her undergraduate internship experience in an inpatient setting, where she worked extensively with children and adolescents struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, personality disorders, and conduct disorders.
Maddie was previously an intern at DFCPTC during her master's level internship, and she was recently added to our team working part-time. Soon, she will begin her full-time experience with us. Her approach to therapy is rooted in person-centered principles, ensuring that each session is tailored to the unique needs and goals of the client. Maddie believes that therapy should be a collaborative and empowering process, with the client at the heart of every intervention.
Maddie uses aspects and skills from cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical-behavioral therapy (DBT), family-systems therapy, and client-centered play therapy. Whether it is connecting clients with essential resources, addressing everyday stressors, or delving deeper into aspects of clients' healing journeys, Maddie is dedicated to supporting individuals in their pursuit of well-being and resilience.
